As explained on the Donations page, the Samaritan Foundation has very generously built the new school, but no organization is presently funding operations. Tuition is charged to students if the parents are able to afford it, but these fees cover less than half of the operating expenses. If you would like to give regularly, via our sponsorship program, your gift will help in providing healthy snacks, school supplies, a uniform, shoes, books etc for a child who cannot afford these things, and also help in funding teachers' salaries, and administrative expenses of the school.

If you choose to sponsor a child, the benefit goes far beyond funding the child's schooling. You can expect to get a letter and photo from your child at least once a year, but are welcome to write to them more often to show your interest in them, and encourage them to write back. This can foster their growth, and give you insight into their challenges. You can visit the school to meet them, if you wish. Most valuable of all you will be able to pray intelligently for 'your' child. It is God's desire, and the desire of those who run the school, that the children not only feel loved, and get a good education, but that they, and their families “be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth... Jesus said, I am the Truth.” (1Timothy 2:4; John 14:6)

The amount requested if you wish to sponsor a child is $35 per month (either USD or CAD is fine). You may send this monthly, or pay for the year in advance, as you wish. All of this will be forwarded to Jaime Alonzo to be used with expenses of the school, as detailed above. None will be kept for administration by those operating this web site and collecting funds.

At the moment, we are not able to offer tax receipts for sponsorship donations.
